RentPlus® Credit Reporting & Financial Tools
At Modernaire Apartments, we’re proud to support our residents in building stronger financial futures. As part of your lease agreement, we offer RentPlus®, a credit reporting and financial wellness service that allows your rent and utility payments to be reported to major credit bureaus—helping you build credit with payments you’re already making.
What Is RentPlus®?
RentPlus® is a service provided by Homebody Insurance Agency, LLC and its affiliate Simplified Business Group, LLC (also known as Rent Dynamics or Entrata). The program reports your rent and/or utility payments to the three major credit bureaus—Equifax, TransUnion, and Experian—allowing you to build or improve your credit history over time. RentPlus® also provides access to helpful financial tools and education resources.
🔹 Why Am I Enrolled?
In accordance with California state law, landlords are required to offer rent reporting services to residents. To make this process seamless, all residents are automatically enrolled in RentPlus® at move-in or lease renewal—unless they have previously opted out. Details about this program, including enrollment, fees, and opt-out instructions, were provided in your lease agreement or in the notice served via email in April 2025. Within three (3) business days of signing your lease or renewal, you’ll receive a welcome email from support@rentplus.com with instructions to finish setting up your RentPlus® account, create your personal dashboard, or choose to unenroll.
📝 How to Enroll (or Re-Enroll)
If you are not currently enrolled and would like to take advantage of RentPlus® credit reporting and tools, you can enroll anytime by:

💲 Cost & Opt-Out Period
- You receive a one-month trial period to cancel RentPlus® at no cost.
- After this period, a monthly service fee will be added to your rent account:
$9.95/month for multiple residents
❌ How to Cancel RentPlus®
Participation in RentPlus® is optional, and you may cancel at any time. To avoid being charged for the following month, cancellation must be completed at least 10 days before the end of the current month. You can cancel by any of the following methods:

❓ Frequently Asked Questions
- Q: Is RentPlus® required to live at Modernaire Apartments?
- A: No. While we are required to offer the service by law, you are not required to participate. You may cancel at any time.
- Q: Will RentPlus® affect my credit score?
- A: Yes—positively, if you pay rent on time. Late or missed payments are not reportedthrough RentPlus®.
- Q: When will I be charged?
- A: After your one-month trial period, the monthly fee is added to your rent account unless you cancel beforehand.
- Q: Can I re-enroll later if I cancel?
- A: Yes, you can re-enroll at any time using the link or by contacting RentPlus®.
